Red Light Therapy

Red Light Therapy for Wound & Scar Healing

Supporting the body's natural repair process for wounds and scars through increased cellular energy and circulation.

Healing skin and scar tissue

Mechanism

Why red light therapy for wound and scar healing

Red and near-infrared light encourages tissue repair and can improve the appearance and texture of scars as healing progresses. The light supports the cellular processes behind new tissue formation and collagen remodelling.

Targeted wavelengths

Our ARRC LED ATP RFQ bed delivers red and near-infrared light across an expanded range of chromophore targets. Red wavelengths work at the skin's surface; near-infrared penetrates deeper into tissue.

Cellular response

Light absorption increases cellular energy production (ATP), which supports tissue repair, collagen synthesis, and improved local circulation.

Cumulative benefit

Results build over a series of sessions. Most treatment plans involve 2–3 sessions per week over several weeks, tailored to your goals at your first visit.

Evidence

What the evidence suggests

  • It is cumulative, not instant. Visible change in a wound or scar builds gradually over a course of sessions, not after a single visit.
  • Timing matters. Sessions can support healing from the early stages of a wound through to long-term scar remodelling.
  • It is a complement, not a cure. Red light therapy supports, but does not replace, proper wound care and any treatment your physician has prescribed.
  • Results vary by wound and person. Depth, age of the scar, and individual healing response all affect what you can expect.

We set realistic expectations from the first conversation. If we don't think red light therapy is likely to help your particular situation, we'll tell you plainly.

Process

What to expect

  1. Initial consultation.

We review your goals, health history, and any medications that affect light sensitivity, then build your treatment plan.

  2. Treatment.

You relax lying down in our ARRC LED ATP RFQ bed for 10 to 20 minutes. Sessions are warm and comfortable, with no pain and no downtime.

  3. Follow-up.

We track your progress across sessions and adjust frequency and duration as your results develop.
